This is a credit card offered by American Express that provides rewards in the form of Delta SkyMiles. With Delta SkyMiles you can redeem reward points for travel with Delta Airlines. This credit card has a variable annual interest rate. It is calculated based on the prime interest rate and the base rate the prime rate plus 9.99%. This is the rate you pay for purchases. Cash advances have a rate that is the prime rate plus 14.99%. As the prime rate fluctuates up and down your annual percentage rate charged on any balances you carry will also fluctuate. American Express waives the annual fee on the Basic Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card for the first year. After that you will pay $85. American Express reduces that to $30 for qualified card members. There are a few other fees to be aware of with this card however. If you make a payment late, you will be charged $19 if your balance is less than $400 and you will be charged $38 if your balance is $400 or more. If you use this card for a cash advance, you will be charged 3% of the transaction amount. There is a $5 minimum cash advance fee and no maximum, so a large cash advance could be pricey in fees. If you charge beyond your credit limit, you will be charged an overlimit fee of $35 on this card. American Express is offering 15,000 bonus miles on your first purchase with the Gold Delta SkyMiles card. This offer consists of a 10,000 mile 'welcome' bonus and 5,000 additional miles for this special offer. You can also be awarded bonus miles for additional cards with 1,000 bonus miles for each additional card up to a total of 5,000 miles. The travel you can use your Delta SkyMiles for must be booked within the continental U.S. and only through a travel agent or directly with Delta. Companion travel can also be booked using your Delta SkyMiles but you must remember that some of the taxes and fees are not covered by your travel miles. This card is good for collecting rewards you can use toward travel and starts you off with lots of bonuses. It isn't the most attractive card for carrying a balance but it does provide a variable interest rate which is attractive to many business people. |
