The Discover More Card Sealife Collection gives cardholders the opportunity to put their credit cards to further use than usual in that they can earn cashback rewards on all purchases made. Rewards are redeemable in increments of $20 and with this account you can earn 5% back on all purchases if you pay attention to the Get More program initiated by Discover. By using the Get More program you will be able to see what offers are available to you and how to earn yourself more back on what you spend throughout the year. Shopping and spending money at certain clubs and stores can get you further rewards so before you go out and use the card it would be best if you became familiar with the brands and locations promoted by the Discover Card. There is no annual fee with this card however there are several other affiliated fees that you must be aware of before using the account. The APR will start at anywhere from 10.99% to 18.99% depending on your credit history, and this will change to a default of up to 30.99% if you fail to make necessary payments and continually bring your balance forward month to month. Late fees are calculated at $15 for any amount owing up to $500 and $39 for any amount over that; this fee changes after the initial special offer term ends on December first 2007, when it will be $19 for any amount up to $250 and $39 for any amount over that. The overlimit fee comes into effect if you spend any more credit than you have been allocated by Discover; this calculates out at $15 for any amount up to $500 and $39 for any amount over. Cash advance fees are calculated at 3% (with a minimum of $5) for each transaction and an annual rate of 23.99%. This credit card account also makes it possible for you to transfer balances from other credit accounts over so that Discover is your primary credit card. To do this you will have to pay a fee of 3% on each balance transfer, with a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $75 on the fee. There is no APR on balance transfers until February 2009, after which the normal rate will apply as with purchases. If you make your payments on time each month then you will retain a 25 day grace period in which none of your purchases are subject to APR. |
